I absolutely loved the charming and beautifully designed decoration of this country house hotel. The craftmanship and attention to detail were evident throughout the hotel, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It felt like stepping back in time to a more elegant era. The general areas, such as the terrace and gardens, were well-maintained and provided a peaceful and relaxing space to unwind. As a senior woman, I also appreciated the hotel's accessibility. The pathways and common areas were easy to navigate, and there was plenty of comfortable seating available.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is more assistance from the children working there. While the staff were friendly, there were times when I could have used a bit more help with carrying my luggage or navigating the stairs.

The guestrooms at El Jardín de Carrejo are amazing! They have everything you need for a comfortable stay, like super cozy beds and a workspace for your laptop. Plus, the free WiFi is a big bonus, especially for budget travelers like me. Oh, and did I mention they have safes in the room too? Safety first, right?
Personally, I didn't enjoy the spa bath in the private bathroom. But hey, that's just my preference.

Lovely countryside location, only a short drive from Santander ferry port. The clean rooms are well-appointed with attractive gardens. The breakfast served is decent Spanish style with fine dining available upon reservation. Great location near to the town with restaurants and bars.
Some of the staff seemed not so friendly, while the garden suite was deemed too expensive for what it offered compared to other places visited during the trip. The overall experience was not very welcoming nor homely.

Although we were thrilled to be in a mature park, the location was too isolated and there were no outdoor activities in the sun. The nearest restaurant was miles away. The room was clean, but the bathroom was quite small and outdated. We also found the breakfast to be quite basic and unappetizing. However, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the view from our room was stunning.
The wifi was practically nonexistent, and we had a lot of difficulty connecting to it throughout our stay.

Mind-blowing supper and breakfast, with homemade delights that left us speechless. The staff were incredibly lovely and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The tranquil gardens and beautiful surroundings provided the perfect escape. Surrounded by breathtaking motorcycle roads and ideal location for exploring the coast. Definitely a place to return to.

We loved the beautiful gardens and the hotel facilities. The room was clean, quiet, and had a comfortable bed. The breakfast had a wide variety of delicious options. The staff was friendly and helpful, happy to give us advice on the best routes through the mountains and to all the sites along the coast. Additionally, the hotel had secure parking which gave us peace of mind. The location in a mature park was stunning and added to our overall experience.
Nothing to dislike.

A Rural Haven
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming rural retreat nestled between the Cabuierga Valley and the beautiful beaches of Commillas. The renovated country house, originally a stable block, oozed style and elegance. We were delighted with our spacious room that opened onto a verandah overlooking the stunning gardens. The tasteful decor and modern amenities made our stay truly comfortable. The breakfast spread was a delectable feast of homemade delights, and the hostess spoke excellent English, making our experience even more delightful. We highly recommend this tranquil haven for anyone exploring Northern Spain. a fantastic stay!

This hotel exceeded our expectations in so many ways. the value for money was exceptional - we paid 71 euros for the night and it was definitely worth it. The attention to detail in the hotel's design and decor was impressive. The old manor house was beautifully converted into a modern and stylish rural haven. The rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated, and had all the basic amenities we needed. We stayed in a junior suite on the second floor which was the best suite we've ever had, even compared to luxury hotels. The large outdoor terrace was a wonderful addition and provided a peaceful space to relax. The hotel's location was also ideal, with easy access to the coast, national parks, and Santander. Additionally, the breakfast was extensive and delicious, with a wide variety of fresh and local items to choose from. we were impressed with the service, staff, and the stunning park-like setting of the hotel's grounds.
All was faultless during our stay.
